2017 is the year of undergraduate teaching evaluation, which included three evaluation works throughout the year: The Sino-foreign cooperative education evaluation, application of engineering education professional certification and undergraduate teaching audit and evaluation. According the evaluation requirements, the School performed a comprehensive examination, analysis and summary of the undergraduate teaching work.
This year, the School offered 185 undergraduate courses which were taught by 78 teachers, including 12 professors. The School’s faculty members won the approval of 12 university-level educational reform projects and published 1 textbook and 10 articles on teaching reform. Also the School won a first prize, a second prize and a third prize of university-level teaching awards.
In 2017, the School offered 13 bilingual courses and 4 courses taught in English. Besides, it has sent 40 teachers to participate in teaching competence enhancement training programs. Throughout the year, the School held 42 teaching and research activities and organized 17 different lectures for undergraduate students. The School’s faculty members achieved excellent results in the 8th teaching competition for young teachers of SWJTU with one first-prize, two second-prizes and two third-prizes.
